Tanya Deol

Tanya Deol also known as Tania Deol is the wife of actor Bobby Deol. She is an interior designer and costume designer. As an interior designer, she specializes in customized furnitures and owns a furniture brand named "The Good Earth". She also worked as a costume designer in movies like Jurm (2005), Nanhe Jaisalmer (2007), Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011) and Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se (2018).

She was born on January 24, 1976 into a rich and affluent family to Davendra Ahuja and his wife Marlene Ahuja in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She has a brother, Vikram Ahuja and an elder sister, Munisha Ahuja Malhotra.

Her father, Late Davendra Ahuja a.k.a Dev Ahuja was the promoter of Centurion Bank and MD of 20th Century Finance company.

Tanya Deol and Bobby Deol got married on May 30, 1996. The couple has 2 sons, Aryaman Deol and Dharam Deol.

In 2009, Tanya revealed about her first meet with bobby deol during an interaction with designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. She said "I went to play cards during the Diwali season at Chunky Panday's house, and Bobby came and he sat with me and we played cards at the same table. He kept losing to me, but he wouldn't pay me, he kept saying he'd take me out for a meal. I was like 'what's wrong with this guy?'
And then, a while later, he called me up. It was at some absurd hour at night. And I was fast asleep. So I pick up the phone and I say to him, 'I'll call you tomorrow'. He says, 'you don't know who I am?'"

In 1996, Her father Davendra Ahuja got involved with an air-hostess 20 years his junior. It led to bitter fights between her parents and eventually led to Davendra Ahuja moving out of the family's plush 5,000 square feet Maker Tower apartment at Cuffe Parade to a 20th-floor apartment at NCPA building, Nariman Point. After that did not paid a visit when Vikram Ahuja's wife gave birth to twins after nine years of their marriage and even insisted that he would eldest daughter Munisha's second marriage only if Vikram and Marlene were not on the guest's list. Munisha turned down his offer.
