Virendra Kumar's formal political journey began when he was elected to the 11th Lok Sabha in 1996 from the Sagar constituency in Madhya Pradesh. Since then, he has been re-elected multiple times, serving as a Member of Parliament (MP) in the 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, and 17th Lok Sabha.
