Prashant Kishor is an Indian politician, political strategist and tactician who is known for not accepting the offer made by the Indian National Congress party in 2022 to join as a leader of an Empowered Action Group 2024.
Before he started working as a political strategist in Indian politics, he was a public health expert at United Nations in the United States for eight years.
In 2011, he did his first campaign for Narendra Modi, who became the Chief Minister of Gujarat in the Gujarat Assembly Elections 2012.

In 2014, he started an election-campaign group named Citizens for Accountable Governance (CAG) that did campaigning for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2014 Lok Sabha election. He made many social campaigns for BJP like Chai pe Charcha discussions, 3D rallies, Run for Unity, and Manthan. After the elections, Narendra Modi wanted to work with Prashant and even offered him a minister of state position in the PMO, but Prashant did not accept the offer. He parted ways with BJP because of his differences with Amit Shah.
In 2015, he renamed his group Citizens for Accountable Governance (CAG) to the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC). The group did campaigning for Nitish Kumar of the JD(U) in the 2015 Bihar Legislative Assembly election, and he won the seat. After winning the elections, Nitish Kumar appointed Prashant as the advisor of the party.

In 2016, Prashant worked as a political strategist for Indian National Congress for the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, but the Congress party won only seven seats whereas BJP won more than 300 seats. Many politicians said that Prashant chose the wrong party for campaigning because BJP had been in power for twenty-seven years in Uttar Pradesh in 2016.
In 2017, he was appointed as a political advisor to the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections in 2019 in which the party won 151 seats out of 175 seats.
In the 2020 Delhi Legislative Assembly election, Prashant was the election strategist for Aam Aadmi Party. The party bagged 62 out of 70 seats in the elections.

In 2020, he decided that he would not campaign for any party, but he would give speeches to 10 lakh youngsters on the Baat Bihar Ki campaign that focused on making people aware of the developments in Bihar.
On 3 February 2020, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party-appointed Prashant as a political strategist for the 2021 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election.
In 2021, he campaigned for the All India Trinamool Congress in the 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election and the party won the elections.

In future, Prashant Kishor will also focus on the upcoming Bihar and Bengal elections.
There may be several hurdles in converting the expectations of the political party into reality. Creating an organisational structure for a new party is an enormous task but the right strategy, direction, and campaign provide success. However, as a political strategist, he will create more examples and Baat Bihar Ki is another step in that direction.
