Anjana Om Kashyap is a senior journalist and news presenter from India . She is an executive editor of the news channel Aaj Tak . He is one of the most successful and famous journalists of India. She is known for her programs Halla Bol and Aaj Tak special reports . Kashyap is known to be a strong anti-reservation voice in India against reservations for socially oppressed classes and similarly affirmative action; In a media-panel discussion, he once described the system as infested with 'termites' that bring neither social mobility nor economic prosperity to the target population, citing its Brahminical upbringing and the Mandal Commission cites prevailing social tensions as contributing factors after the recommendations were implemented. [1]He has previously hosted debate shows like Badi Baah and Do Tuk in other Hindi channels .

Career

He completed his schooling from Bihar. He did Diploma in Journalism from Jamia Millia Islamia College Delhi in 2002 . He started his journalism career in 2003 with Doordarshan .

Anjana has acted as herself in Hindi films such as Sultan (2016 film) and Tiger Zinda Hai .

Family

His father's name is Dr. Om Prakash Tiwari, who has been a former education officer. Anjana is married to Mangesh Kashyap, an officer of Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Police Service cadre since 1995.  She met Mangesh during their days at Delhi University.  Mangesh has been the Deputy Commissioner of Delhi Police and since 2016, the Chief Vigilance Officer of the South Delhi Municipal Corporation. They have a son and a daughter.

Controversy

Supporter of BJP journalist 
A lengthy report by The Caravan (by Nikita Saxena) has been very critical of Anjana's journalism, noting the aggressive spread of nationalist ideologies and biased reporting in favor of the Bharatiya Janata Party amid various situations.  Scroll.in mentions her as a pro-BJP news anchor.

While reporting about the 2019 Bihar encephalitis outbreak, Anjana entered the neonatal ICU at the Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital and began contacting the on-duty pediatrician. He was widely criticized for his inappropriate behavior. The Indian Medical Association later filed a complaint against him for endangering the lives of children in an attempt to gain publicity.
