Career

While on vacation in Khandala, Raj Kumar (Mahesh Babu) stays with his uncle Dhananjay (Prakash Raj). He meets Rani (Preity Zinta) and develops feelings for her. But in the end, he teases her, and she starts to hate him. Despite her best efforts to stay away from him, he won't let her alone. Rani is thrilled when Raj Kumar protects her from bullies. She starts to like him and then falls in love with him after spending some time together. However, his uncle has other ideas for him. He divulges information about the hero's parents and family's past. He talks about the wager he made with his future in-laws to wed his daughter to the hero.

The hero advises the heroine that their relationship must end there in compliance with this. Going to the village with his uncle to look for his uncle's daughter, he is delighted to discover that it is none other than Rani. The plot that he and his uncle concoct to win the heroine's hand and reunite the uncle with his family drives the remainder of the film. This is done in a playful, amusing manner.

Rajakumarudu, an Indian romantic comedy film in the Telugu language from 1999, was directed by K. Raghavendra Rao and produced by C. Aswini Dutt under the Vyjayanthi Movies label. Krishna had a cameo appearance as Mahesh Babu's father in the film, which also starred Mahesh Babu and Preity Zinta and features music by Mani Sharma. Okkadu is an action-oriented film. In which Kurnool factionist Obul Reddy (Prakash Raj) appears. He develops feelings for Swapna (Bhumika). The history of this assassin is unknown. Only Pandu is aware of his true identity, and he has no desire to reveal it to anyone.

Puri Jagannadh wrote and directed Pokiri, an action thriller movie in the Telugu language, in 2006. Jagannadh and Manjula Ghattamaneni's respective production businesses, Vaishno Academy and Indira Productions produced the movie. Mahesh Babu, Ileana D'Cruz, and Prakash Raj are the movie's main actors, and Nassar, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Sayaji Shinde also play significant roles. The main character of the story is a local goon whose murderous instincts attract the attention of a wanted don as well as the ire of his lover and a corrupt police officer.

Along with V. V. Vinayak's Tagore in 2006, the movie was one of the fourteen southern Indian films to be screened at the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) Film Festival. Five Nandi Awards and two Filmfare Awards were given to the movie. The movie's popularity propelled Ileana to fame and gained Jagannadh recognition as a writer and director. It was recreated as Pokkiri in Tamil in 2007, Wanted in Hindi in 2009, and Porki in Kannada (2010).

After Mahesh Babu started wearing them, the doctor sleeve trend grew in popularity in Andhra Pradesh, and it is still influencing fashion today. Evvadu kodutge dimma tirigi mind blockaipothundo, vaade Pandugaadu (translated as A punch of his will fully shut down your mind, that's Pandu) and Okkasari commit aithe naa mata neene vinnanu (Once I commit, I won't listen even to my own words) are two Mahesh Babu quotes from Pokiri that gained popularity.

Srimanthudu (2015)

The scion of a prosperous business family who is uninterested in merely making money is the subject of Srimanthudu's straightforward yet motivational story. His ideas and later events lead him to adopt a plain community and transform it despite several obstacles. A wealthy businessman (Jagapathi Babu) is concerned about his aloof and apathetic son (Mahesh Babu). He wants the enormous economic empire that he built during his lifetime to pass to his son and be continued by him. However, the latter declines, saying that he needs to earn respect first. His attention is elsewhere.

He meets a girl (Shruthi Haasan), and they quickly fall in love since they share similar ideas. When she learns who he is, though, she chooses to ignore him. She reprimands him for being too wealthy and not even knowing where he was born when confronted. She then reveals that she is the daughter of a kind village chief (Dr. Rajendra Prasad). That is, incidentally, the same village. Later, the hero returns to the hamlet, adopts it, finances it, and actively participates in the construction of a school, roads, etc. This forces him into an unavoidable conflict with a self-centered union minister and his brother, who terrorize and intimidate the town.

After understanding this, he attempts to collect the debt from her and ultimately returns to India where he faces Rajendranath, her father, and a prominent MP and industrialist with headquarters in Vizag. When Mahi is threatened with death and admits he is there for more than simply Kalavathi's debt, the conflict intensifies.

Controversy

Mahesh Babu’s Court Case

In support of Arjun's promotional efforts, his supporters organized a rally in Warangal in September 2004 that both Mahesh Babu and the filmmaker Gunasekhar attended. He and his supporters are accused of breaking into two video stores and attacking the proprietors for selling illegal copies of the movie on CDs.

He was the primary accused in cases under IPC sections 448 (criminal trespass), 427 (mischief), and 366 (kidnapping), together with five other people. Later, a delegation from the Telugu cinema industry—including D. Suresh Babu, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Allu Aravind, and his father Krishna—asked the then-chief minister, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, to become involved in this matter.

According to Mahesh Babu, the funniest part of the situation was that not a single case had been filed against the guy selling bootleg CDs, despite the fact that cases had been filed against him on the basis of incorrect information.Pawan Kalyan, an actor, openly backed Mahesh Babu throughout the episode. Mahesh Babu turned himself in to the district court in September 2004. He returned in April 2006. Following the final hearing in July 2006, Mahesh Babu and the other defendants were cleared.

Mahesh Babu Says Bollywood Cant Afford Me

Mahesh Babu, a star of Telugu cinema, has stirred up controversy on social media with his divisive comments about why he shuns Bollywood productions. The actor stated at a Hyderabad event that despite receiving numerous offers for Hindi films, he does not want to work in that country since he believes the industry cannot support him.

After that remark, internet users immediately pointed out how haughty his response sounded, and some even contrasted it to Shah Rukh Khan's modest response on why the latter won't work on Hollywood projects.

Mahesh recently clarified that he just intended to make fun of it and that it was not meant to be taken seriously.

Mahesh responded immediately when asked if he would be interested in acting in Hindi movies, Of course! I'd adore to act in a Hindi movie. In fact, I'd like to make movies in as many other languages as I can. My top priority, though, will always be Telugu movies.

Netizens trolling Mahesh Babu for promoting Tobacco Brand

A netizen wrote that I presume that only TFI celebrities like #MaheshBabu are permitted to market Pan Masala goods, while the others face harassment for doing the same. Nice use of two standards.

Other netizen wrote that, He remarked that Bollywood couldn't afford him, which is funny. However, a pan masala brand can afford him ( he endorses Pan Bahar). There is no issue. Bring a stronger argument the following time if you want to act like the Elite.
