Dr. Anuradha Paudwal is a prominent playback singer in Hindi cinema . She was extremely popular in the 1990s.
He started his film career with the film Abhiman , in which he sang a shloka for Jaya Bhaduri . He sang this shloka under the direction of music composer Sachin Dev Varman . She then sang with Mukesh and Mahendra Kapoor in the film 'Bhagwan Samaye Sansar Mein' in 1974 under the music direction of her husband composer Arun Paudwal.
Anuradha Paudwal was born on 27 October 1954 in a Konkani family in Karwar , Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka . But he was brought up in Mumbai . She was married to Arun Paudwal who was an assistant to the famous music composer SD Burman . Arun himself was a musician. Anuradha Paudwal was at the peak of her career in the nineties when her husband Arun died in an accident. They have a son Aditya Paudwal and daughter Kavita Paudwal.
Career
Anuradha started her career with Amitabh and Jaya 's film Abhiman in 1973, in which she sang a shloka . Once upon a time almost every film used to have a song by Anuradha. But now he is away from singing for a long time. He last sang in the 2006 film 'Jaane Hoga Kya'. Anuradha never took training in classical music , saying that she tried several times but it didn't work out. He LatajiWhile listening to and practicing for hours on your own, you made your own tunes. Lata Mangeshkar is nothing less than God for Anuradha Paudwal as she gives the credit of all her successes to Lata ji. He says that “I learned music under many gurus. But, Lata ji's voice was a source of inspiration for me which guided me as an institution." He also made good pairings with other composers ( Rajesh Roshan , Jay Dev, Kalyanji Anandji).
Anuradha gained popularity after the success of the songs in the film 'Hero' and she was counted among the top singers. In this film she paired with Laxmikant-Pyarelal. After the success of Hero, the pair gave successful songs in many more films like ' Meri Jung ', 'Batwara', ' Ram Lakhan ' and lastly 'Tezaab'. He then joined hands with Gulshan Kumar of T-Series and introduced many new faces to Bollywood. Some of these are Udit Narayan , Sonu Nigam , Kumar Sanu , Abhijeet , Anu Malik and Nadeem Shravan .
At the peak of his success, he announced to work only with T-Series, which benefited Alka Yagnik . Anuradha Paudwal moved away from films to focus on devotional songs and sang many successful bhajans in this field. After working for some time, she took a sabbatical and returned to playback singing after 5 years, although her return did not prove to be very successful for her.
The On September 12, 2020, a mountain of sorrows broke on him when his son Aditya Paudwal passed away at the age of just 35 due to kidney disease.
Awards
Anuradha Paudwal has been honored with many awards for her outstanding contribution in the field of music. He has been awarded the Padma Shri in the year 2017 by the Government of India . Apart from this, he has also been honored with the Filmfare Award 4 times and the National Film Award once .
