Devkinandan Thakur Maharaj is a Hindu Puranic storyteller, singer and spiritual teacher. You must have seen them in YouTube and TV debates. Since the year 1997, Maharaj has been giving discourses on Shri Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, Shri Ram Katha, Devi Bhagwat, Shiv Puran Katha, Bhagwat Geeta etc. In the year 2015, he has also been honored with the "UP Ratan" award. Devkinandan Thakur Maharaj was born on 12 September 1978 in Ohawa village of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. Devkinandan Thakur left home at the age of just 6 and reached Vrindavan and took part in the Rasleela Sansthan of Braj.

Shri Devkinandan Thakur's father's name is Rajveer Sharma and mother's name is Mrs. Anasuiya Devi, from whom he spent his childhood listening to Krishna devotion and folk tales. Education and Qualification

 Devkinandan Thakur Maharaj has completed his graduation in English education, apart from this he has studied all types of religious scriptures related to Hindi Sanatan culture and Devkinandan Thakur remembers all the scriptures orally. He has got Vedic and spiritual knowledge and at the age of just 13 had memorized Shrimad Bhagwat Purana.
Devkinandan Thakur Maharaj Guru Acharya Purushottam Sharan Shastri ji named him Devkinandan Thakur Maharaj and because of his talent and the art of speaking, he was assigned the task of reciting Shrimad Bhagwat Purana.

Religious Career 

Signs of divine insight and greatness began to appear in Devkinandan Thakur in his childhood, he spent his time listening to the pastimes and stories of Lord Krishna and even before the completion of his elementary education, Krishna's pastimes were on his mind. The effect was such that at the age of just 6, Devkinandan Thakur Maharaj left his home and came to Vrindavan and joined the Krishnaleela troupe.
